Princeton is one of the most notable cities, located in the state of New Jersey, the city specifically stands out for its fascinating history, which dates back to the 17th century, during the times of the civil war, however, another undoubted reason for the city's reputation and popularity is due to the World renowned Princeton University.

The Princeton University was founded in 1746, previously named as the college of New Jersey; it has since undergone numerous renovations and now houses over 7000 students. During the times when the city was war torn, the university was heavily damaged and was also occupied by British and American forces.

Initially the university only comprised of Nassau Hall, since then it has expanded vastly and Nassau Hall is only concerned with the administrative offices of the university. Some of the other buildings consist of residential colleges, a museum and a chapel among other buildings. The residential colleges collectively hold approximately 3000 students with state of the art facilities. The museum showcases all previous works of note in the university and is a prime place of inspiration for university students.

Princeton University is one of the most stable in terms of finance, being the university with the 4th largest revenue in the United States and rightfully so, Princeton offers one of the highest standards and an education environment highly conducive to education. They provide undergraduate, graduate as well as doctorate degrees in a variety of fields.

The University of Princeton is also home to the largest libraries in the world, with a collection of millions of titles to choose from. Princeton undoubtedly maintains high standards selecting only the cream of applicants which usually consists of about 10%. This is reflected in several educational bodies ranking the university among the top 3 for several successive years in the United States, and within the top 100 in the World.

Apart from academic excellence, several extra curricular activities are also encouraged; Princeton employs some of the most highly ranked college sports teams throughout the US, in the basketball and football sports. Several noteworthy icons in history graduated from Princeton University including President Woodrow Wilson. The Princeton University has also been featured in several movies and television shows, noteworthy mentions include Transformers 2 and Batman Begins.
